About Me

For decades, I've written about ghost towns, geological sites, historic places, and other stuff in Nevada and the West. I had the privilege of serving as Publisher of Nevada Magazine for 14 years and am the author of 17 books, including several about Nevada. My upcoming books include: "Reno Confidential: Eleven Historic Influencers" (out February 2027), "True Crime in Reno" (out January 2027) and "Tales From The Nevada Ether: 13 Stories of Monsters, Miracles and Madness" (out now!). The latter is my first non-fiction book and contains 13 short stories, set in Nevada. All of my books are available from Amazon, Bookshop.org, and other online retailers.
